The small aerodynamic wireless speed sensor gives current, average and maximum speed as well as distance and trip time. For running, it features laps/split laps, interval training, countdown timers and is waterproof for swimming (60 feet).

Designed with cyclists in mind, the Polar S520 represents a serious cycling tool. Adding to the Polar S410 (Which does not have cycling features). The Polar S520 represents a precision tool for the up and coming athlete. The monitor stores one exercise file for analyzing information and five files with limited information. Notable exercise sessions and specific lap information can also be recorded.

  • Sonic Link: To be able to transfer the recording training information via sonic link and to analyze it with Polar Precision Performance Software, you need a PC with a sound card and microphone (which is usually found in most computers-no additional items necessary to download).
  • Uploading Setting From Computer: Polar S520 offers you the option of uploading your settings with Polar Precision Performance Software to the wrist receiver. You are also able to set a user ID for easier recognition in multi-user situations.
    Sampling Rate vs' Exercise Time Available:
    every 15 seconds for workouts that are 30 minutes or less
    every 30 seconds for workouts that are 60 minutes or less
    every 1 minute for workouts that are from 60 to 120 minutes
    every 2 minutes for workouts that are 2 to 4 hours
    every 4 minutes for workouts that are from 4 to 8 hours
    You may continue exersicing with your heart rate displayed on the monitor, however after 8 hours, the S520 memory is full and your heart rate will not be recorded.
    In the training functions option you are guided through the interval sections automatically meaning ease of use and increased control over your routine. Optional recovery rates are also a feature of this most advanced monitor. Storage and analysis of information for future use is also possible with the Polar S520 and with the Polar speed sensor, this monitor is the perfect instrument to track and monitor cycling performance. The Polar S520 also utilizes performance training software to give you the most accurate feedback and results.
    SonicLink, PC Coach Light training analysis SW and an option to use Polar Cadence sensor mean this is a serious piece of equipment.

    The watch receiver may also be attached to a bike.
